I put together Cash's first Easter basket today! I wasn't going to do anything, because he really don't know or care right now, but I changed my mind! Most everything thats in it are things he won't use for awhile, but he will eventually.
What's inside:
- Sippy Cup
- Six Month Pacifiers
- Two t-shirts from The Children's Place
- Sassy Photo Book
- Bright Stars Crinkle Book
- Beaba Silicone Spoons (this is what I'm most excited about! I love them!)
I had so much fun putting it together! I can't wait until next year's basket, that one will be even more fun because he'll understand a little more.
We made a little play corner for Cash! Its not completely done yet, but almost! We are getting two shelves to go above the chalkboard, we just haven't decided which shelves to get yet. And I still need to move his toys into the bins, but I'm holding off for a bit on that. We used to keep our dogs toys in there without the bins (they have WAY to many toys!) but we moved them to a bin on the other side of the room. I'm waiting until they get used to having their toys moved otherwise they will probably take Cash's toys! Sean also wants to put legs on the white shelf/storage thing which I'm undecided about. It used to be on wheels, which was nice. But wheels + a baby whos going to pulling up on things doesn't really go together well!

This time last year I found out I was pregnant! Its so hard to believe that it was an entire year ago, I remember it like it was just last week. It was a Sunday and Sean had gone to a baseball game with his Grandparents, and I was working at the kennel just Theresa and I. I had been feeling pretty sick for a week or two and had originally thought it was from something I had ate at a restaurant called Trang's (which to this day I still can't even think of Trang's without sorta feeling sick) but since the stomach pains had gone on for so long I realized it was probably something else. I had also started eating WAY more, yet never feeling full. Theresa and I joked that I had a tape worm, and even started googling the signs and symptoms of them. My period was also three weeks late, but I had just gotten married and helped my Mom plan our big reception a month after our wedding so I associated the lateness with stress. I texted Sean saying I wanted to go get a pregnancy test when we both got home, because while I was for sure I was not pregnant (Yes, I was obviously in complete denial) I wanted to be sure because something was obviously wrong. We went to Wal-Mart and come home and Sean started making dinner. I went into our bathroom and those two little pink lines showed up almost instantly and I said very loudly 'Oh my god' I sat in our room for a few minutes trying to figure out what to say to Sean, trying to figure out if I was scared or excited or both! I walked into the kitchen and he had the biggest smirky smile on his face and I knew I didn't need to say anything, he already knew. And as soon as I saw him any doubts or fears that I had went completely out the window. I knew he was excited. We were having a baby, we're were going to be parents. It may not have been planned, but I can tell you right now it was the best thing to ever happen to us. Cash is the most amazing little person I have ever met, and WE made that person. Its so amazing to think about.

He rolled over from his belly to his back on Sunday and I missed it! I was sitting right next to him, but looked away and he did it when I wasn't looking! So I kept trying to get him to do it again, but he didn't.

Cash ALWAYS ends up half way on the tile when he's playing on his play mat. Its funny, and he never really seems to care.

Cash rolled over for the first time this morning! He rolled from his back to his belly! He's been trying really hard to do it for the past week, he'd get all the way over but then get stuck on his arm. This morning he was trying again and I didn't think anything of it until all of a sudden he stuck his head up really fast, his pacifier fell out of his mouth, and he looked at me with a shocked look on his face! He did it! He was so confused, it was so cute! He just kept looking around with the confused look on his face, it was so sweet.

What was not so cute is that it was 5am and after I let him hang out for a few minutes on his belly, I flipped him back over to try and get him to go to sleep. He didn't want to sleep, he just continued to try to flip over. I had to position my arm against his belly so he couldn't go any further then his side. I didn't want him rolling all over while we were sleeping. He did finally fall asleep, but I can't wait for him to roll over some more!

Cash hanging out in his new car seat!
He can stay in his infant car seat until he reaches thirty inches or thirty pounds. And well, right now he's twenty seven inches and TWENTY ONE pounds! So he will be transitioning to the new seat sooner rather then later! haha. He really likes it though. We haven't tried it in the car, but he sat in it in the living room for almost twenty minutes and he really seemed to like it. He definitely looks comfortable!

Cash is four months old today!

All stretched out in the tub! He always stretches out as far as he can when he's in the tub. He held onto those two little link toys the entire time I was getting him undressed and ready for his bath, he held them through his entire bath, and he held them the entire time I was getting him dressed! He finally dropped them when we sat down on the couch!

CASH LAUGHED TODAY! Like really laughed! He's been making these weird gurgle noises instead of laughing, which are also very cute. But he laughed today! Oh my gosh it was wonderful! We were at Babies 'R Us and he was in his car seat inside the cart, I picked up some weird snack holder that you can connect to the cart and pretended to snap it on the cart. I was mainly trying to amuse myself and Sean as I thought Cash was still napping, but HE LAUGHED. So Sean kept pretending to snap it to the cart and Cash just kept on laughing until he got the hiccups. I of course burst into tears, which just made Sean laugh at me. Oh my gosh though, you just don't understand, that little laugh, ah so wonderful!

Its amazing watching him grow and learn and discover new things. He IS the best thing that ever happened to me (aside from marrying my husband, because well, without the husband there wouldn't be a Cash!). I just can't get over how awesome he is! I'm so excited to watch him grow up, yet at the same time I just wanna hit the pause button and keep him tiny forever!

Cash is getting SO big SO fast! I can't believe he's already almost four months old! He really is the light of my life, I am so in love with him its ridiculous! Being a Mom is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. I look forward so much to watching my son grow into an amazing little person.
